Mative
Who is Mative?
Mative is an innovative startup based in Avellino, Italy. It develops AIoT solutions, combining artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, to digitize processes, machines, vehicles, and infrastructure. Our brand is Mative – Connecting Intelligence: we connect people, machines, and data, so that people at work have the right information when they need it.
Which industries do you work in?
In mobility, logistics, industry, construction and mining, agriculture, city and services, energy, and health. From public transportation to rentals, from warehouses to the cold chain, from production lines to wind farms, all the way to home monitoring of patients.
Do you also work with the public sector?
Yes. We work with private companies and public bodies: from local public transportation to RFID-tracked waste collection, all the way to smart city services. Our cybersecurity services are also designed for the public sector.
How does a project with Mative start?
With a free consultation: tell us what you want to measure or automate, and we'll suggest the right hardware, platforms, and integrations, building on the technologies you already use. If you'd like an idea first, the AI Project Maker suggests a project based on industry scenarios.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the project: how many devices you connect, which platforms and modules you use, and which integrations you need. After the free consultation, you get a tailored proposal.
Mative Cloud and platforms
What is Mative Cloud?
It is Mative's suite of platforms: where data from machines, vehicles, assets, and infrastructure is collected, processed, and turned into action. It includes the TC, LM, WM, RPM, and SM platforms, along with the Synapsis products for data and artificial intelligence. Each platform has its own space on mative.cloud.
What is the difference between TC, LM, WM, RPM, and SM?
Each one is built for a different job. TC – Things Connector manages connected assets and fleets, and contains the modules. LM – Logistics Manager manages logistics fleets, orders, and drivers, with AI-optimized routes. WM – Waste Manager makes waste collection smart and traceable. RPM – Remote Personnel Manager handles workplace safety and personnel management. SM – Shared Mobility manages car sharing, bike sharing, and micromobility, with an app for customers and a portal for the operator.
Which modules does Mative Cloud TC have?
The modules active today are Fleet Monitor for fleets, Site Monitor for construction sites and earthmoving, Drive for people with a single vehicle, Car Rental for rentals, Emergency Center for crashes and SOS, Smart Assisted Living for home monitoring, Smart Farming for agriculture, Wind Turbine Management for wind power, Smart Metering for energy and water meters, SCADA for plant supervision, Charging Station Manager for charging stations, and Smart Retail for stores. More are on the way.
Can I use Mative Cloud on my smartphone?
Yes: the Mative Cloud TC - Mobile app is on Google Play and the App Store. The Drive module, designed for people with a single vehicle, works in the app or in the browser.
Can I bring Mative Cloud data into my management software?
Yes. Mative Cloud provides REST APIs, webhooks, and websockets, and our team helps you bring data and features into the management software you already use. Synapsis IoT also integrates the APIs of car, e-bike, and e-scooter manufacturers.
Can Mative Cloud adapt to my company?
Yes. The platforms are modular: you start with the modules you need and add devices, vehicles, and modules as your company grows. Where needed, we build custom interfaces, for example a SCADA for your plants.
What are Mative Payhub and Mative Marketing Engine?
They are two Mative products outside Mative Cloud. Payhub is our payments platform: it manages activations and renewals. Marketing Engine is our marketing automation software.
Synapsis: data and connectivity
What is Synapsis IoT?
It is Mative's Data Bridge: it moves data from the field to the cloud, whatever the protocol. It collects data from GPS trackers, sensors, gateways, and PLCs and delivers it to the platforms. It is an event-driven architecture, for real-time communication between devices, servers, and applications.
Which protocols do you support?
In industry, Modbus, OPC UA, and CAN Open, including on PLC systems with custom installations. On vehicles, trucks, and heavy machinery, we read the CAN Bus via OBD2, J1939, and J1850. For IoT, MQTT, LoRaWAN, and the Sigfox network. To connect other systems, REST APIs, webhooks, and websockets.
What is Synapsis Analysis?
It is our business intelligence platform: it collects, manages, and analyzes large volumes of data and turns them into useful insights to help your company grow.
What is Synapsis ML?
It is our artificial intelligence platform: it manages, normalizes, and interprets complex data, and we use it to train machine learning models specific to your industry, for example for predictive maintenance or anomaly detection. It also summarizes the calls of the Emergency Center module.
What is Synapsis Industrial Edge?
It is Mative's solution for the factory, with MES, HMI, SCADA interfaces, and cloud-based control. It connects production lines, presses, and tanks through PLCs and SCADA, so consumption, cycles, and downtime can be read from the cloud.
Why are the products called Synapsis?
After the synapse, the point where two neurons connect. Mative does the same with people, machines, and data: the green dot that crosses our home page draws its trail.
Artificial intelligence and MAVI
Who is MAVI?
MAVI is our AI-powered assistant. Trained on a company's data, it answers automatically over email, VoIP systems, WhatsApp, and Telegram. The chat on this site uses the same AI: try it with a question about Mative.
Can I get MAVI for my company?
Yes. We train MAVI on your company data and integrate it with your channels, for continuous, consistent customer support. It can also automate repetitive messages, like confirmations, reminders, and notifications, and free your team from low-value requests.
What happens to the questions I ask MAVI on this site?
MAVI uses them to answer you. The privacy policy explains how they are processed and which providers receive them.
What is the AI Project Maker?
It is a tool on this site: describe your scenario, and the AI Project Maker suggests a project with the technologies of Mative and its partners, based on industry scenarios.
Hardware and devices
Which devices can I connect?
GPS trackers, CAN Bus readers, industrial gateways and PLCs, AI cameras, long-range RFID, environmental stations, soil sensors, medical devices, and more. In the catalog you'll find the ones already integrated with our platforms, from the Synapsis gateways to the devices of our partners Teltonika and JimiIoT.
Can I use the devices I already have?
Often, yes. Synapsis IoT connects to IoT devices that use MQTT or LoRaWAN, to PLCs via Modbus, OPC UA, and CAN Open, and to manufacturers' APIs. Tell us what you have, and we'll check together what can be connected.
What is the Synapsis ISBC gateway?
It is our industrial single board computer for remote data acquisition. It has Synapsis IoT built in: it reads the machines' signals and translates them into parameters Mative Cloud can interpret.
Security and cybersecurity
How is the data from my devices protected?
Data travels from the field to the cloud encrypted with TLS, with mutual authentication between device and server, and is stored under modern cloud storage security policies. So only authorized devices talk to the cloud, and data never travels in plain text.
Do you offer cybersecurity services?
Yes: penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and continuous monitoring to protect IoT devices, OT networks, and the infrastructure of private companies, critical infrastructure, and the public sector.
Incentives, energy, and sustainability
Can Mative help me with the Industry 4.0 and 5.0 tax credit?
Yes: we guide you through the technical requirements and the documentation for the tax credit on investments in Industry 4.0 and 5.0 technologies, and our consulting network helps you find the incentives that suit your investment. The rules change with the law: we check them with you, project by project.
How do you help me reduce consumption and emissions?
By measuring. With Smart Metering you compare the energy produced, for example by a solar plant, with the energy the factory consumes, and get reports to redistribute it and lower production costs. With the same data you cut emissions and meet ESG regulations.
